LCHL TO HOLD 2017-18 ENTRY DRAFT ON TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 26 AT GORMAN ARENA

LEAGUE PLAY BEGINS OCTOBER 19

The Lancaster Centennial Hockey League fall entry draft skating session has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 26 at 9:30 pm at the Charles Gorman Arena on University Avenue.

All new players must attend this session and provide $ 150.00 for first half fees with no exceptions and previous players in the league looking to rejoin must pay the $150.00 to be entered on the draft list and are exempt from the skating session but must register online for the draft.

Each team may add one free agent to the roster exempt from the draft and league play begins Thursday, October 19 at 9:15 pm at the Peter Murray Arena with teams playing a 30 game regular season schedule followed by two best of seven semi final series and a best of 7 Championship Final.

Interested parties should visit www.lancastercentennial.com and pre register for the entry draft.

LANCASTER CENTENNIAL HOCKEY LEAGUE TO OPERATE WITH FOUR TEAMS FOR 2017-18 SEASON

ONLINE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE AT THE LEAGUE HOMEPAGE

The Lancaster Centennial Hockey League will operate this season after an emergency meeting of the executive committee and the team representatives of the four returning franchises on Sunday evening.

The league will feature four teams playing at 9:15 pm on Thursdays, 9:15 pm on Fridays and 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm on Sundays at the Peter Murray Arena.

All players from the defunct Hampton Ducks and Doirons Sports Mooseheads have been declared free agents and interested players will be put on the Fall entry draft list.

The four remaining teams will hold an entry draft skate for new players on Tuesday, September 26 at 9:30 pm at the Charles Gorman Arena on University Avenue.

Interested players who have played in the LCHL previously are exempt from the draft skate  but must register online for the draft immediately following the one hour draft skating session.

Each team may declare one free agent exempt from the entry draft.

League action begins on October 19 and teams will play a 30-32 game schedule with playoffs to follow.

A pre draft registration form is available online at www.lancastercentennial.com and interested players are asked to sign up as soon as possible to give us a sense of how many players will be available to each of the four returning teams.

The 2017-18 version of the league will include Rockys Bruins, Becketts Lumberkings, White Way Wheelers and the Vegas Bar & Grill Reds.
