BECKETTS LUMBERKINGS SEND TYLER SAUNDERS TO FAIRVILLE SHOOTERS ALPINES FOR RICHARD MacGORMAN

 

 

Richard MacGorman is on the move again joining his third team in under a month as Becketts Lumberkings send forward Tyler Saunders in exchange for MacGorman to the Fairville Shooters Alpines in a one for one deal announced on Friday afternoon.

 

MacGorman had four assists for the Alpines after being acquired from the White Way Wheelers in a three player swap for future considerations on November 2nd.

 

MacGorman will be eligible to join the Lumberkings for the Friday evening matchup against Rockys Bruins.

JORDAN TRACEY DEALT TO ROCKYS BRUINS FOR SECOND ROUND PICK

 

Rockys Bruins have acquired the rights to forward Jordan Tracey from Becketts Lumberkings for a second round draft pick in the 2018 Fall Entry Draft and future considerations.

 

Tracey played in 2016-17 league champion Doirons Sports Mooseheads scoring six goals and adding five assists.

 

In 2015-16 Tracey played with the league champion Joyces Trailer Rentals Canadians.

WHITE WAY WHEELERS SEND THREE PLAYERS TO THE FAIRVILLE SHOOTERS ALPINES FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS

 

The White Way Wheelers have traded Justin Simpson, Jesse Prescott and Richard McGorman to the Fairville Shooter Alpines for future considerations.

 

Week Two play begins on Thursday at 9:15 pm when the Wheelers take on the Lumberkings at the Peter Murray Arena.

 

On Friday evening the Alpines battle the Bruins at 9:15 pm at the Peter Murray Arena.

 

On Sunday at 8:00 pm Becketts Lumberkings will host the White Way Wheelers followed at 9:15 pm by the Alpines and Rockys Bruins.

FIFTEEN PLAYERS SELECTED IN THE 2017 LANCASTER CENTENNIAL HOCKEY LEAGUE FALL ENTRY DRAFT


LEAGUE PLAY BEGINS ON OCTOBER 26 AT PMA

 

Mike Mazerolle, formerly with the JTR Canadians was the top pick by Becketts Lumberkings in the 2017 Lancaster Centennial Hockey League fall entry draft held on Tuesday evening at the Charles Gorman Arena.

 

Fifteen players were added to the league rosters via the draft and each team added one free agent exempt from the draft for a total of nineteen players added to the rosters of the four teams scheduled to battle through a 30 game regular season schedule followed by playoffs as the league embarks on its fifty first year in its storied history.

 

Maxime Lefreniere was the second pick claimed by the Alpines and veteran rearguard Jason Christie was added by Rockys Bruins with the third selection.

 

Jordan Tracey was selected by Becketts Lumberkings with the final pick of the opening round with a pick acquired by the Lumberkings from the Wheelers.

 

In the second round Jesse Prescott was taken by the White Way Wheelers followed by former Hampton defenceman Ben Shephard who lands with the Alpines.

 

Justin Knudson was added by the Bruins in the second round followed by Alex Vautour picked up by the White Way Wheelers.

 

In the third round Tyler Saunders was selected by the Lumberkings followed by Arno Redemaker by the Alpines.

 

Kyle Lewis was added by the Bruins in the third round followed by Justin Simpson to the White Way Wheelers.

 

In the fourth round the Lumberkings passed followed by the Alpines who chose former JTR Canadians captain Matt Joyce.

 

The Bruins selected Tanner Munn with their final pick followed by Murray Scott who went to the Wheelers to close out the draft.

 

Free agents selected by the teams include Mike Neil added by the Bruins and Brandon McQuade by the Wheelers.

 

Brad Hooper was taken as the designated free agent by the Lumberkings and the Alpines added Joey Tardif.

 

Play begins on Thursday October 26th at 9:15 pm at the Peter Murray Arena  when the White Way Wheelers host the Alpines.

 

Other Week One games scheduled include Friday at 9:15 pm as Becketts Lumberkings battle Rockys Bruins.

JOSH McGRATH SELECTED FIRST IN LCHL SUPPLEMENTAL FALL ENTRY DRAFT

EIGHT MORE PLAYERS ADDED TO ROSTERS

 

Eight players were chosen in the LCHL Fall Entry Supplemental Draft on Tuesday evening.

 

Josh McGrath was selected first by Becketts Lumberkings and Brendan Brown was chosen second overall by the Alpines.

 

Rockys Bruins used the third pick to select Dustin Shanks and the Wheelers traded their first pick to the Alpines in exchange for forward Arno Redemaker and Hampton Ducks defenceman Ben Shephard and the second round pick.

 

The Alpines used the Wheelers draft spot to select former Hampton Ducks forward Britt Sanford and complete the first round.

 

In the second round the Lumberkings passed and the Wheelers with the Alpines pick acquired in the earlier trade took defencman Jeremy Vautour.

 

Rockys Bruins selected defenceman John Stilson in the second round followed by the Wheelers who chose former Alpines forward Richard McGorman.

 

Becketts Lumberkings and the Alpines passed the next pick and the Bruins acquired forward Cory Miller to end the mini draft.

 

Play in the league begins on Thursday, October 26 at 9:15 pm at the Peter Murray Arena when the White Way Wheelers square off against the Alpines.

 

Rockys Bruins will battle Becketts Lumberkings on Friday, October 27 at the PMA.
