Max Lafreniere scored two goals including an empty netter to lead the Fairville Shooters Alpines to a 5-2 win over Rockys Bruins in the seventh and deciding game of the Lancaster Centennial Hockey League semi final series on Sunday evening at the Peter Murray Arena.

 

Ben Demerchant, Josh Innis and McKenzie Smith also scored for the Alpines against Bruins backstop Matt Robichaud.

 

Chris Melanson and Mike Neil scored for the Bruins against Alpines goaltender Alex Miller.

 

The Alpines now advance to a best of seven Championship Finals against the White Way Wheelers beginning on Thursday, March 15 at 9:15 pm at the Peter Murray Arena.

Corey Martin scored two goals including the game winner as the Fairville Shooters Alpines edged Rockys Bruins 3-2 in Game Six of the Lancaster Centennial Hockey semi final series played on Thursday evening at the Peter Murray Arena.

 

Josh Innis also scored for the Alpines against Bruins goaltender Matt Robichaud.

 

Dan Curran and Mike Neil scored for the Bruins against Alpines goaltender Oliver Doiron.

 

The best of seven series is tied at three games apiece with Game Seven scheduled for Sunday evening at 8:00 pm at the Peter Murray Arena.

 

The winner of the series will advance to the best opf seven Championship Finals against the White Wheelers beginning on Thursday, March 15.

Jared Fitzgerald, Steve Mason and George Northrup into the empty net also replied for the Wheelers against Lumberkings netminder Alex Cunningham.

 

Jarrett Randell, Josh McGrath and Brandon Mabey scored for the Lumberkings against Wheelers goaltender Matt Daley.

Mike Neil scored the game winner in the shootout as Rockys Bruins defeated the Fairville Shooters Alpines 2-1 in Lancaster Centennial Hockey League semi final action on Thursday evening at the Peter Murray Arena.

 

Rob Pearson opened the scoring at 4:03 of the first period with assists from defencemen Josh Redcfurn and Dan Curran against Alpines goaltender Billy Parker.

 

Corey Martin tied the game for the Alpines at 7:47 of the 3rd period with helpers from Jay Blanchard and Britt Sanford against Bruins goaltender Matt Robichaud.

 

The five minute overtime period solved nothing leading to the shootout where Neil scoredthe winner in the second round.

 

The series is now tied at two games each with Game Five scheduled for Sunday evening at 9:15 pm.

Josh McGrath staked the Lumberkings to an early 1-0 lead when he scored an unassisted tally at 00:51 of the first period against Wheelers goaltender Matt Daley.

 

Matt Bursey scored the Wheelers lone marker at 10:10 of the 2nd period against winning goaltender Dan Lavin.
